Brookfield and its First Nations Partners Proceed with Feasibility Stage of the Pehonan Hydroelectric Project
Brookfield Renewable Power, a leading producer and developer of renewable energy, in partnership with the three First Nations, is proposing a hydroelectric project - a clean, green, renewable source of electricity.
The Pehonan Hydroelectric Project is planned to be a run-of-river plant located on the Saskatchewan River.
It is estimated that the project will have an installed capacity of approximately 250 megawatts of renewable energy, capable of delivering enough electricity to power approximately 80,000 homes.
